UPCOMING EVENTS

The World Affairs Council in Las Vegas, since the merger of its components, the Nevada Committee on Foreign Relations and the Las Vegas World Affairs Council on August 1, 2008, has been seeking to sponsor foreign policy debates in both the 2nd and 3rd Congressional Districts of Nevada and has received partial acceptances, now seeking to confirm acceptances on both sides. As soon as and if those debates can be scheduled before the general election, announcements will be made accordingly, and the debates will be scheduled.

Other plans are being negotiated for major programs after the national election with contacts at the Worlds Affairs Councils of America, certain of its affiliates, the Center for U.S. Global Engagement, and UNLV, UNR, and American University.

Announcements will be forthcoming as soon as these events are schedule. Please stay tuned, and, if you are not a member of the Nevada World Affairs Council in Las Vegas, we invite you to join so you won't miss any of our important programs.
